Quechee Lakes, nestled along the stony shores of the Ottauquechee River, is a spectacular combination of elegant homes and spacious condominiums. In nearly 6,000 acres of quiet woods and peaceful hillsides are activities for every life-style. Quechee Lakes is a planned environment respecting Nature in its infinite variety.
The Quechee Lakes community is made up of individual landowners who own a homesite, a completed home or condominium. These landowners own and control all the amenities at Quechee Lakes. Tenants, because they rent from a landowner, are allowed the privilege of using the amenities while at Quechee Lakes. Some amenities require the renter to purchase a guest pass from Membership Services.
Quechee's facilities include two championship golf courses. Geoffrey Cornish, a world famous golf course architect, started with a valley full of ample trees, springfed ponds, pastures, rocky ledges and dramatic ravines - then sculpted 36 challenging holes of championship golf. Old pros or young duffers, the golfers who have played it rave about it. Both 18s, from the first tee to the thirty-sixth green, are truly unbelievable.
The Quechee members, guests, renters - and now the public - all may enjoy many winter days downhill or cross country skiing. The ski hill's new quad chair lift is 2,700 feet in length and leads to downhill trails up to 5,000 feet in length. A rope tow and T-Bar complete the lifts at Quechee and provide access to the beginners' slopes for the novice skiers. Also, there are many miles of maintained hilly and flat cross country ski trails in the development.
Besides golf courses and ski facilities, there is a modern Tennis Center featuring eleven tennis (8 Har Tru) courts, and a professional staff offering an outstanding program of lessons and clinics. There are recreational facilities for children, Lake Pinneo with beach, bathhouse, watersports, and playground facilities, outdoor skating facilities and supervised programs.
Throughout the valley QLLA maintains many other recreational sites, from the Polo Field and Birchwood Meadows overlooking Dewey's Pond, to the Village Green - the site of the now famous Quechee Balloon Festival. Additionally, there are playing fields, extensive woodlands, deer yards, and some great fresh water fishing holes, all encompassing approximately 1,500 acres of Vermont's most beautiful and natural land.
Quechee Lakes Landowners have, through their Association, developed Vermont's finest four season community. Everything you want for your vacation or lifestyle - be it spring, summer, fall or winter - can be found at Quechee Lakes.
