Quechee Garden Club Plant Sale

Quechee Garden Club
Annual Plant Sale

Saturday May 26 – 8:30am to 1:00pm

The QGC is once again sponsoring its annual Memorial Day weekend Plant Sale
at the Quechee green and gazebo. Activities will include the sale of annual flower packs, potted perennials, veggie packs including tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers and herbal varieties. Colorfully blooming hanging baskets, flowering arrangements in a variety of containers, special pre-orders for all offered plant listings, as well as berry bushes will be available.

A popular service for those wishing to have their selections arranged that day in your own planters with planting soil donated by local businesses will again be offered.

Our children’s activity, free for kids to participate in, is a “paint a flower pot” crafts table. Participants are encouraged to select a plant for their new pot and our flower arrangers will set it up for them.

A new venture for our Garden Club members is the creation of an artist coloring book entitled “The World of Flowers”. Quechee Garden Club artist members as well as arts participants from Kendall contributed 35 black line drawings of flowers in many styles of presentation. There is eve a wile flower collected labelled for easy identification. Proceeds from the coloring book will be dedicated to the Garden Club’s Scholarship Program.

As in the past, the Plant Sale offers a variety of gently used garden equipment, containers and tools for sale, as well as a table hostess helping to serve baked goods, coffee, tea and juice.

Hope to see you all come out to the Quechee Green for a wonderful chance to see your friends and start your gardens blooming!
