It’s our claim to fame—Ski Quechee is Vermont’s friendliest place to learn to take on the slopes and winter terrain, from skiing to snowboarding and even Nordic skiing. For all skills and ages, fun and safety are always our top priorities.
The Quechee Ski School is a privately operated business contracted by Quechee Lakes Landowners Association (QLLA) with exclusive rights to provide instruction at Ski Quechee. Visit the Ski School in The Base Lodge.
2022-23 Ski School Offerings & Rates
Lesson Availability
Priority access to the Ski School will be given to Members of Quechee Club, then to Family Guests of club Members, then season pass holders. Additional capacity will be based on availability.
The Ski School reserves the right to cancel lessons for any reason, including but not limited to changes in the State of Vermont's operation guidance, instructor availability or extreme weather.
Cancellations & No-Shows
All cancelations are subject to a $25 cancelation fee. Notice of cancelation is required by noon the day before a lesson. With this in mind, we ask that you please choose lesson dates and times carefully. No-shows will be charged in full.
If the participant is sick or has symptoms, the Ski School will give credit for the lesson to be used sometime this season as long as we are notified by 7:15am the day of the lesson.
For ages 3½+
Private lessons are best when you’re looking for dedicated attention and focused instruction. Semi-private lessons are best for more capable skiers who require less one-to-one assistance.

Please note: We recognize that parents may want to participate in the instruction of their children. Semi-private lessons can be provided to a child with the adult present. However, this choice should be made carefully since younger children often have difficulty taking direction from the instructor when the parent is present.
For ages 4-7
Instructors will group children by age and ability into small, self-contained groups. We will take a brief break (usually outdoors) as needed.

*The ski school reserves the right to place children in the group that is appropriate for the individual before or during the lesson.
For ages 8+
Group Lessons are appropriate for older children who can ride the lifts independently without the instructor, generally 8 years of age or older. Some may need to participate in private lessons until we can be sure they can ride lifts safely.
- Group Lessons - $105 Per Person

For ages 8-12
This program is for advanced parallel skiers who are pre-approved by the Ski School for all mountain activities. It is not designed for racing instruction but use of gates may be included as well as varied terrain and exercises that are appropriate for advanced skiers. This is a fun, fast-paced approach to skiing.
- Free Riders - $80 Per Person

- 9:30am - 11:30am
- 1:15pm - 3:15pm
Cross-country lessons are available on the days that Ski Quechee is open, if there is adequate snow on the designated terrain.
- $80 for the first person
- $40 for each additional person

Equipment Rentals
Henderson's Ski at The Base Lodge offers ski and snowboard equipment rentals for juniors and adults. Trained technicians keep the equipment meticulously maintained so you can enjoy every run. Stop in or reserve in advance.

For advance reservations, a minimum of 3 consecutive days is required. The full rental fee is due at the time of booking and is non-refundable.
Quechee Ski Team
The Quechee Ski Team offers children ages 7 to 18 the opportunity to participate in alpine ski racing while improving their technical skills. As a member of the United States Ski and Snowboard Association (USSA) and the Mid-Vermont Council of the Vermont Alpine Racing Association (VARA), the Quechee Ski Team participates in events with teams from other local ski areas. The Quechee Ski Team is privately organized and operated.
